The origin of The Protégé Effect

This project was born when Billy Smart (Richards Bay – KZN) and Carlo Steyn (Cape Town – WC) decided to join forces and dedicate their time and combined knowledge in the laser cut industry, to assist and teach anyone who wants to learn more about the trade. Not long after, Leana Lourens (Bethlehem – FS) joined the team, adding her pure talent, willingness to teach and much more to the mix. With close to 3 decades of combined experience the industry, their expertise range from design, costing, running a business, machine maintenance and operation – just to name a few.

What makes this different than any other “tutorial channel” is that although experts are invited to hosts episodes, they encourage and invite anyone to share their knowledge on a topic related to the laser cutting trade, and any other business.
This way the Protégé Effect is awakened, and is beneficial to all.
